Easter is gone now, but I have to share with you this delicious regueifa doce recipe that has been passed on from generation to generation with a special main ingredient: love. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><a href=\"https:\/\/tasteporto.com\/tours\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Pssst&#8230; If you&#8217;re eager to explore additional Portuguese recipes beyond the Regueifa Doce, we invite you to join us on a delightful Porto Food Tour!<\/a><\/h4>\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\">\n<figure class=\"aligncenter is-resized\"><a href=\"https:\/\/tasteporto.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/05\/Regueifa-Doce_Portuguese-recipe.png\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/tasteporto.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/05\/Regueifa-Doce_Portuguese-recipe.png\" alt=\"Regueifa doce Recipe\" class=\"wp-image-440\" style=\"height:480px\"\/><\/a><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">How to make regueifa doce?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Ingredient list<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>1 kg of wheat flour<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>7 eggs (of approximately 60 g each)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>300 g of sugar<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>150 g of butter<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>50 g baker&#8217;s yeast<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>3 tbsp of hot water<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>1 tsp spoon of refined salt<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Regueifa doce recipe<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Mix the salt with the hot water and then dissolve the baker&#8217;s yeast into that mixture.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Put 800 g of wheat flour in a bowl, make a hole in the middle and add the sugar, 6 previously whisked eggs and the dissolved baker&#8217;s yeast. Mix everything. <\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Add the rest of the wheat flour and mix it until the dough doesn&#8217;t stick to the bowl or your hands. Cover the bowl with a warm kitchen cloth until the mix doubles its size &#8211; this can take 7h to 24h.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Sprinkle a kitchen cloth with wheat flour, put the dough over it and knead it. Split it into two rolls and roll them into one braid. Put the dough braid over a sheet of greaseproof paper previously sprinkled with wheat flour and cover it with a warm kitchen cloth until it triples its size.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Preheat the oven at 180\u00ba Celsius. Whisk the remaining egg and brush the dough with it.
