These gatherings hold immense importance in our culture, making it a cherished occasion.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The extensive family lunch, typical of Portuguese traditions, is a culinary delight with a menu that is truly one-of-a-kind. Allow us to provide a glimpse into what awaits us this Sunday (and Mum will get mad if we don&#8217;t eat everything!).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Our Easter Menu in Porto<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Starters:<\/strong> Folar (cornbread with sausage inside), smoked ham, &#8220;Serra da Estrela&#8221; cheese, and <em>riss\u00f3is<\/em>;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Main course:<\/strong> a roasted suckling pig with fried potatoes and sparkling wine (usually white, but this year we&#8217;ll be bringing red sparkling wine to the table!) or an all-time favorite: goatling in the oven;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Dessert: <\/strong>p\u00e3o-de-L\u00f3 (an amazing wheat cake with a lot of eggs) and &#8220;Serra da Estrela&#8221; cheese (yes, also a dessert, because it&#8217;s that good).<br><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<center><iframe loading=\"lazy\" width=\"560\" height=\"315\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/qGsYYPXECcM\" title=\"YouTube video player\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" allowfullscreen=\"\"><\/iframe><\/center>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>P\u00e3o-de-L\u00f3 and Folar are mandatory items on the table. If you want to try them you can find them in almost every pastry shop in Porto. But, if you want to know, we&#8217;ll buy Folar at Loja dos Past\u00e9is de Chaves and P\u00e3o-de-L\u00f3 at Mercado do Bolh\u00e3o.
